Looking to add your perspective on the Executive & Board Search business?

Alumni is growing! Right now, we are looking for two new Research Consultants to join our offices in Malmö and Stockholm. Research within Executive and Board search can be considered a fine art and sometimes a challenging task. We sat down with Nordic Research Manager Louise Brondin Månsson, to hear her describe the role and what it takes to become a Research Consultant at Alumni.

What does a Research Consultant within Executive & Board Search do?

Working as a Research Consultant at Alumni is fun and diverse and you have a central role in the business. The work is project- and team based and together with your colleagues you solve client assignments. As a Research Consultant you lead a part of the process and take responsibility for identifying and qualifying candidates, as well as adding value to clients by sharing market knowledge.

On a daily basis you build and maintain long-term relationships with relevant candidates and you are responsible for analysing and mapping out relevant industries, companies and potential candidates. This also means that you take an active role in client meetings. At Alumni we have a team of Research Consultants that constantly interacts, shares knowledge and develops the research function and contributes to the business as a whole.

What interests and characteristics are ideal to possess in order to thrive as a Research Consultant?

A profound interest in the corporate world and the factors that generate business results, paired with an interest in people and leadership matters. You should enjoy the balance between team work and independent work. A part from being driven, analytical and communicative it is great if you are curious and can take on a creative approach to problem solving.

What is the work culture like at Alumni?

What makes us unique is our people and their unique stories! Our culture is derived from our values. Collegiality – we work together! We believe in sharing knowledge and working together. That is one of the factors behind our success and engaged coworkers. Long-term and Excellence – we have high ambitions with our network and we carefully develop personal relationships. Pioneering – we want to be seen as thought leaders. We constantly challenge ourselves and the way we do things. A lot of that comes from our Passion – we love what we do and have ambitions to constantly develop.
