Assessment & Development - Management Audit

A Management Audit involves conducting a through analysis of an individual's strengths and areas for development, based on the specific circumstances of the company. The analysis focuses on the qualities that are critical to the business and is neutral in relation to the views previously held internally within the organisation. The advantage of using management audits is that everyone who takes part gets an objective assessment of how they are perceived with regard to strengths and areas for development, and some open and honest feedback about this.

Examples of when a management audit might be carried out:
  • When a new executive/MD joins the company and needs to quickly establish an overview of his or her management group, or when several new people join a management group
  • When there are changes to strategy and/or organisation and the company needs to make sure that it has the competence required to cope with the changed situation
  • When working on succession planning, to investigate the preparedness of potential candidates
  • To give selected individuals a clear boost in their individual development and greater self-awareness, or as part of a group development programme
