Playing a key and visible role within EPUT’s senior management team, this post holder will be the designated lead estates professional for the Trust, professionally responsible and accountable for the strategic development and all aspects of the Trust property and estates assets, for oversight of the Trusts PFI contract, the retained estate and all hard and soft facilities management services across the Trust.

Drawing upon good research based on a bedrock of learning, the post holder will focus on building healthy learning and clinical environments with the goal of making learning better and maximising the time EPUT staff are at their best. Exploring every detail that might contribute to attaining that ambition, the post holder will embrace an aggregation of marginal gains approach, to transform learning and give our staff, patients and families the environment and agency to enhance the lives of us all.

The Director of Estates and Facilities will be responsible for delivering safe, sustainable and cost effective estates and facilities services for the Trust. They will be required to provide specialist advice and assurance to the Executive Team in relation to statutory compliance and risk associated with the Trust’s infrastructure and facilities support services, and to reducing the Trust’s environmental impact.

The post holder will provide effective and efficient leadership and management of the Trust’s estates and facilities teams, ensuring all contracted out services provided by the PFI or other third party suppliers meet the requirements of the Trust’s service specifications and payment mechanisms.
