We are looking to appoint an outstanding operational leader as Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director of Operations and Sustainability. As part of the Executive Team, and reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, this is a key role within the University which involves leading and managing its core operations across the areas of Estates and Facilities, Digital and Information Services, Sustainability, Business Continuity and Health and Safety whilst providing exceptional service to colleagues, students and other stakeholders.
This post will lead in the delivery of a significant multi-site investment programme and provide operational leadership of Estates and Facilities, ensuring sustainability and that commercial opportunities are maximised. It will also lead on the digital and information services provision and ensure our continued development of the University’s digital connectivity strategy. The role also holds overall responsibility for ensuring business continuity and health and safety and ensuring the University remains compliant within the appropriate regulatory and legal frameworks.
With a focus on enhancing the student experience, the successful candidate will have the ability to drive a culture of commitment, innovation and engagement. Additionally, they will have a demonstrated track record of providing impeccable service and improving organisational efficiency in a higher education or similar setting.
