The Chief Executive for Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is one of the most high profile and important roles within NHS Wales.

The Chief Executive will be a credible, dynamic and resourceful strategic leader with proven experience of working across the spectrum of health care and building sustainable relationships with partners in local government and the third sector. They will be a resilient and highly capable leader who can ensure the skills of the Executive Team are complementary and applied to maximum effect. They will have the ability to promote new opportunities for transformation and innovation that continue to achieve the highest standards of patient care and outcomes.  

This is a pivotal time to join us as we embed new models of care across our health system, continue to develop partnership working and support the wellbeing of our staff.  Our ambitious plans will support us in achieving a healthier future for our communities whilst delivering service recovery following the impact of the COVID pandemic. Our vision and ambition requires us to work collectively developing and accelerating plans that support people to look after themselves and to move care closer to home as part of our “clinical futures” programme.

We are very proud of the achievements of the Health Board. Most recently our staff have responded with resilience, resourcefulness and great skills during the challenges of the pandemic. Our teams across primary, community and secondary care have introduced new ways of working and innovation whilst maintaining quality patient care during unprecedented demands.
