Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) is a major integrated healthcare provider with over 13,000 staff in the heart of Wales.  We are committed to delivering primary, community, acute hospital and mental health services to a population of 500,000 across Rhondda, Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend. At an exciting stage in the development of our Health Board and the wider progressive policy and legislative landscape in Wales, including close integration with social services and the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for talented Chief Operating Officer to join our Board and play a key strategic leadership role across the Health Board as we continue to drive innovation, modernisation and transformational change and respond to quality challenges and continue recent improvements and population health focus.

As our Chief Operating Officer, you will work with an outstanding leadership team to deliver best in class operational performance, using well developed influencing skills with the ability to forge effective working relationships across a wide set of internal and external stakeholders. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues to achieve outstanding and high quality outcomes as well as provide challenge and hold to account. As Chief Operating Officer, you will reflect the values and behaviours which are fundamental to the way we do things at CTMUHB, and demonstrate well developed analytical and decision making skills, the ability to cope with complex and competing demands and work within a Board environment where you can contribute across all of the Health Boards activities.

This role represents the chance to make a real impact on the lives of a significant portion of the Welsh population. At CTMUHB we are proud to be an organisation with a real sense of community; that actively supports and develops colleagues to ensure patients receive the best quality care. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a large and complex Health Board at the beginning of its transformation, and to be central to the development and improvement of our culture and services, making a tangible difference to our population.
